Dragon+ Magazine App Reviews

Great add on to a great game

I wish it came out more frequently but I will take what I can get. No I dont read it from cover to cover, but I read enough to feel it is valuable. Adds previews and hints to upcoming releases as well as keeping in touch with the current publications.

Great Content, App Needs Work

First off, the actual magazine is very good. Fun interviews. Nice articles and stories. Access to some D&D adventure modules and related content. Special offers. One-stop access to the latest on the various Wizards D&D social feeds. All great. Its the app itself that needs work. Most of the issues stem from the fact the app appears to be built on a cross-platform framework. It doesnt look or feel like an iOS native app. Scrolling can be less than smooth, albeit it has improved considerably since the 1.0. It also doesnt take advantage of a number of the latest iOS APIs and features like the latest Safari webviews. Swipe gestures also dont always work consistently, like swiping right to open the main side menu. That gesture works to navigate in some places, but definitely not the home menu screen. Im also not a huge fan of the navigation overlay within the magazine issues. These are just some of the issues. Overall, Id recommend Wizards and the developers invest in making Dragon+ a more native iOS experience. I just hope its in the (Tarroka) cards; my issues apply to most commercial magazine apps that use a cross-platform framework approach.

New issue is really great

Ravenloft is a really good issue. This magazine keeps getting better Good job.

UI is just fine as long as u get used to it.

I am pretty worried that some potential readers would just scroll away without looking at the "...but the content is wonderful " comments seeing the low score. The pop-up problem does not appear to me, instead, the UI design is pretty friendly to smartphone readers, while good looking.

Youre better than that...

Really unfortunate to see a measly attempt at an app. Thought yall were better than that.
